SPELLMAN NAMED GNAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Emmanuel's junior forward Mack Spellman (Clinton, NY) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week for the week ending 2/16/08. Spellman led the Saints, averaging a double-double in both games last week. Spellman notched 38 points (19.0 ppg) and 22 rebounds (11.0 rpg) in the 2 games. He shot 40% from the floor hitting 16 of 40 shots for the week. Spellman also hit the game-winning three-pointer in Emmanuel's 55-54 win at Johnson & Wales University on Saturday afternoon. This is the second time this season that Spellman has received GNAC honors.
