Athletic Training

To all student-athletes: In order to participate in athletics at Emmanuel, you must be medically cleared. Prior to stepping on the field, court or track, all three steps (detailed below) must be completed. You must fill out insurance information at least twice, and you may have to do so a third time. We apologize for this seemingly redundant process; however, we take your health and well-being extremely seriously. We want to ensure that all parties have the subsequent information on hand in order to serve you best.

  1. First Year Students ONLY (Freshmen and Transfers)
    1. Complete the Entrance Health Report that was mailed to you (this includes physical form, medical history, TB test, Immunization records)
    2. Submit these forms by July 13th to:

  2. ALL Athletes (all years, including transfers):
    1. Download the following PDF forms:
      Athletic Clearance
      Health Insurance
    2. Fill out a hard (printed) copy of the downloaded forms
    3. Submit these forms by August 1st to:

         Emmanuel College

  3. ALL Students (all years, including transfers):
    1. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires colleges to document each year that all students have health insurance coverage.
    2. If you are NOT planning on enrolling in the College's health insurance plan, then you MUST COMPLETE a health insurance waiver documenting your insurance coverage. The waiver can be completed online at www.universityhealthplans.com and must be received August 1st.
    3. If you ARE planning on enrolling in the College's health insurance, there is nothing you need to do. All students who have not completed the health insurance waiver by August 1st will automatically be enrolled in the College's health plan at a cost of $1148.00 per year.

Emmanuel College provides its community with a full-service athletic training room. The athletic training room, with its certified staff members, provides services such as emergency medical care, event coverage, pre-participation evaluations and recognition, evaluation, prevention, and rehabilitation of injury.
